bakit pinapanalo ito?????

(c) If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!! :)

(To my foreigner readers: I am so sorry if i have to do this in my native language… i am jsut so ashamed of the contents, that i cannot let you be a part of this farce… so ashamed that we let things like this happen to us… so sorry… and if you ever find out what this is all about, please know that not all of us are like her…) :(

itigil nyo na ang kalokohang itoi!!!

Ciao, sweetie… :(

Manny’s mom threatens pug

(c)

this just in:

Manny Pacquiao’s mother threatened the Destroyer if he pushes thru in filing his candidacy for any position that he will lose a mother, and her support… it was reported before that Manny is thinking of running for mayor in his native city of General Santos… he was also being wooed by the LAKAS party to run under their banner as congressman of South Cotabato… even in today’s news, there was an item that American trainer Freddie Roach threatened to leave the fighter if ever he enters politics…

according to news reports, Manny’s mom said “mapili sya, magpatuloy sya, wala na sya nanay…” if ever he runs for office in May…

i will side with his mom in this… he has no right to run just because he is popular… though he hasn’t signified any intentions of running for any office yet, but his silence leaves a bad taste in the mouth of his supporters…

i just hope he makes up his mind soon, so that i can prepare to blast him to hell if he does, or praise him to high heavens if he doesn’t… :)

————————————

EDIT 20070131: Mom backed out!! in this morning’s news, Aling Dionisia Pacquiao capitulated to his son when they talked online early today… Manny said he is almost sure he will run for office… “kung yan ang kaligayahan mo, Manny, susuporta na ako sa iyo…

this is not right… tsk tsk tsk…

an accident waiting to happen…

(c)
pbblunder-pinoy_drayber_ed.jpg the wife picked me up from work last week… she was driving, and so, my hands are free to do anything they want… ok, ok… it was not what you were thinking… i actually brought my camera [remember the Pentax??] to work, and i simply continued playing with myself it while in the car on the way home…

on the way, we saw this family of 4, a father and mother and 2 small kids travelling with us on the road… ON A FRIGGIN’ MOTORCYCLE!! and without helmets!!

when i saw this, i immediately took a shot, and here it is:

blog.jpg

i agree the quality of the picture leaves much to be desired, but hey! i didn’t say i take good pictures, did i?? :D

anyway, this is one accident waiting to happen… the father may not think that anything bad will happen to his family while riding with him on his puny motorcycle, but just one drunk driver will dash this wishful thinking to bits…

there should be a law against this [well, actually there is... i can already think of 2 broken laws]… this driver was not only putting his own family in danger, but other people as well…

for all of you out there who do the same thing as this man, i have a word for you: DON’T!!

GRRRR!! stupid drivers!! gah!!

:[

Pinoy Drayber Edition i really hate driving around Metro Manila these days... people [i meant drivers, of course] seem intent on getting their way just to get to where they were going… even to the extent of not following traffic lights… grrr…

at the intersection of JP Rizal and Mandaluyong Bridge, there was supposed to be a traffic light… i said ’supposed to be’ because drivers do not actually follow the lights… jeepney drivers, mostly, are the transgessors… taxi and tricycle drivers even!! and this was just a couple of hundred meters away from the Makati City Hall!! and isn’t there any rule against tricycle drivers plying along major roads?? if policemen [yes, there are policemen in the area] will not implement this law, might as well take this out of the rulebook, diba??

and do you see those pedicabs [bicycles with seats, much like tricycles only not motorized] with clothes hanging on them?? isn’t there any law against these? if there aren’t then we should make one!! they are accidents waiting to happen when they are crossing the Mandaluyong Bridge, you know… and that is because they have to get down, and push their ‘vehicles’ up the bridge, sometimes unmindful that they are hogging 1 side of a 2 car bridge!!

and like what i have been saying before, taxi and jeepney drivers weaving in and out of Metro Manila streets should be better placed in rallye sites than normal streets… they can give Michael Schumacher a run for his money!!

what’s so hard in following rules?

(c)

Truly Pinoy what is a rule? Dictionary.com defines it as:

An authoritative, prescribed direction for conduct, especially one of the regulations governing procedure in a legislative body or a regulation observed by the players in a game, sport, or contest

essentially, they are put in place to govern a customary or generalized course of action… meaning, KAILANGAN MONG SUNDIN!!

this is specially true for our pedestrians and drivers of public utility vehicles… yes, that is you, manong drayber… you should learn to follow traffic rules [no loading and unloading signs], learn to drop passengers at the proper places and not at the middle of the street, and learn to practice hygiene, so that you not only smell good, but look good as well…

as for the pedestrians, learn to walk along proper pedestrian lanes… the whole street is not for you, you know… learn to use overpasses… they have a purpose: to keep you SAFE… and please don’t bring children along when you fancy walking at the middle of the street… you might just encounter someone who’s had it with the likes of you!!

anyway, here is one dude who doesn’t know how to follow established rules…

yosi_me.jpg

again, rules are established for you to follow…

“if it works…”

Pinoy Big Blunder Initial OBB EMULATE IT!! is what i am wont to say!!

anyway, this is a spoof of the highly popular TV show of a local channel here in the Philippines… but this time, we will be looking at all aspects of being a ‘pinoy’… but wait, what really is a ‘pinoy’?

a ‘Pinoy’ is someone from the Philippines… born here, bred here, grew up, and possibly dies, too, in the Philippines… has his own way of dealing with things, occassions, and events… and has that “can-do” attitude which most foreigners find annoying, but at the same time endearing…

what we will mainly talk about here are the quirks of Pinoys, particularly dealing with our daily lives… blunders, primarily… it will have several editions, according to the current topic… like “Drivers” edition, “Politics” in general and “Politicians” in particular, and finally, just your regular “Pinas lang” edition for those things you find “onli-in-da-Pilipins”…

so, watch our for it, ok?
