in retrospect…

this is a sad day for all of us here at the office… although we are currently having fun, what with the party we are now having for Jenny, inside, we are all saddened… you see, tomorrow is Jenny’s last day here at the office, she’ll be moving on to better things… and so, we decided to give her this ‘despedida’ party… there are drinks, food, and lots of crying and crying and crying [for the ladies, at least]…

and so, Jenny, though we just had 5 or so months of knowing each other, i have come to know you to be a lady of conviction… not afraid of anything, of what others would likely say, as long as you know that what you were doing was right… i wish most of the people here at the office will emulate you…

*sniff* BYE JENNY *sniff*

though we part as officemates, i hope we remain as friends…

will be going to a seminar called “Effective Presentation Skills Workshop” today… that’s why i was early here at the office [but then again, i was always early... :o]…

we’ll see what will happen today… i expect a lot of things, but, at the same time, hoping for them not to happen… darn!

one of the things i love about my current work [yes, there are many...] is that i get to have different types and models of the latest cellular phones, particularly, Sony Ericsson phones… you see, from the 1st time i got to use an SE, i never looked back… from my trusty old T610 [black] to P900 to K700i [again, black which is still with me] to W800i and now to my shiny white K908i [which is 3G enabled, to boot!], i am never without an SE phone since about 6 years ago…

i love its joystick [it was the 1st to have them] plus the shortcuts one can associate with them, the spacing of the keypad, the feel of the clicks, the smart menu, and the easy way one can personalize them, and basically do whatever you’d want, short of, of course, throwing them to the ground and trampling on them… nyehehehe… :d

and now, there is a new model in the market, the SE W810i… it is a sleek combination of the K750i and the W800i… i’ll leave it up to you to look it up on the web [hint: link above... ;)], but suffice it to say that this may just be one of the best phones i will ever get a hold of…

haaaayyyyy…

once again, there was news today that there’ll be a weekly increase in gas/oil prices here in the Philippines… this was due, apparently, to soaring world oil prices… transport groups are now gearing up [again! sigh!(n)] to ask the Land Transportation Office for another round of fare hikes… [Ed: so? what else is new??]

and again, along with rising gas prices, prices of basic commodities like food and clothing, not to mention the delivery of other services like education, are expected to rise as well… one good news, though, we’ve had over the last 3 weeks is the lower cost of liquefied petroleum gas [LPG]… from as high as Php 540 a few weeks ago, to as low as Php 450 today… (y)

as i am wont to say:

“Ahhh, Pinoy, kailan matatapos ang paghihirap mo??”
[Oh, Pinoy, when will your hardships end??]

for me, at least…

as you may have noticed, this blog was down for about 2 months, and i wasn’t able to update nor fix this… that was because work always gets in the way…

anyway, since i moved up from Wordpress 1.5 to the new 2.0.2, i wasn’t able to import all my previous posts, as well as all the pictures/images accompanying them, that i simply decided last week that the hassle is not worth it… and just start from the beginning… so here i am, writing my very first post [again]…

oh, i had fun doing those posts since way back 2002 when i started… this blog began as an assignment for my masteral studies at APC [hey Elmer!!], and took off from there… from a school-based blog to Linux-based to everything-based… well, anything and everything under the sun really…

now that i am working again, i will really try, as much as possible, to update this blog as often as i can… but no promises, though…

anyway, enough of that… just expect posts from time-to-time, but not as frequent as before, ok?
